Executive Directors
The Executive Directors oversee all of BRRC’s work and manage all coordinators to ensure their programs happen successfully. They serve as the point of contact for the Black community, administration, campus, and community partners and between other Recruitment and Retention Centers in the bridges Multicultural Resource Center.

Outreach Coordinators
The Outreach Coordinators plan large-scale (50- 100 students) recruitment events. During the Fall semester, they plan and execute the Bay Area College Tour, a 4-day free overnight program for Black high school students to tour different universities in the Northern California Region. During the Spring Semester, they plan Senior Weekend, a 4-day, free overnight stay for Black high school seniors admitted to UC Berkeley, in collaboration with the bridges Multicultural Resource Center.

Community Wellness Coordinator
The Community Wellness Coordinators (CWC) plan social Retention events for the community. The CWC is responsible for planning the Welcome Black BBQ and Ebony Gala, two of our signature retention events. They also plan other small to medium-scale events that vary yearly but have previously included Pain n Sips, movie nights, Self Care Nights, and more.

K-12 Recruitment Coordinators
The K-12 Recruitment Coordinators are responsible for creating opportunities for prospective K-12 students to learn about college admissions, financial aid, Black student life, and resources to support their pursuit of higher education. Events hosted vary yearly but typically include campus tours, application workshops, tabling at resource fairs, and shadow days. They usually host college application-related events in the Fall and campus tours and outreach in the Spring.

Transfer Coordinators
The Transfer Coordinators oversee the Transfer recruitment and retention activities. Throughout the year, they plan events to inform prospective transfer students of college admissions and Black student life at Cal. They also plan social retention events for the Black Transfer community on campus that vary yearly but have included study jams, resource fairs, and paint nights.

Retention Coordinator
The Retention Coordinator manages the BRRC Intern Program and the associated class. They also host academic retention events for the community that vary yearly but have included workshops and information sessions on studying, choosing a major, and graduate school prep.

Public Relations and Data Manager
The PR & Data Manager manages all BRRC social media accounts, updates the website, and create promotional materials for events.
Political Directors
The Political Director(s) are responsible for identifying the needs of the Black community and ensuring that BRRC is meeting them. They also work with on and off-campus organizations to uplift the broader Black community and bring specialized resources to the community.
Operational/Budgetary Manager
The Operational and Budgetary Manager is responsible for all of BRRC’s financial and operational needs They prepare the fiscal year budget and allocate monies to recruitment and retention coordinators to fund events. They also complete financial reporting as required and seek fundraising and grant opportunities.
Senior Advisor
The Senior Advisor utilizes their knowledge as a BRRC Board member to improve the overall dynamic and effectiveness of the board. They work with the Executive Directors to facilitate check-ins, and discussions on Board’s well-being, and support the Board with their BRRC-related and personal and academic goals.
